End-of-Year Function: Interrogating Cone beam CT data for the evaluation of root canal systems. 

Dr Dayea Oh, BDSc MFDS RCSEd DClinDent(DMFR) Oral & Maxillofacial Radiologist.

Appreciating anatomical structures three-dimensionally in volumetric scans require application of multiplanar reformatted images (MPR). With multiple cases, this lecture will introduce the essential requirements associated with the manipulation of these planes in order to accurately understand root canal systems. These skills are also critical in identifying the presence and the nature of peri-radicular abnormalities.

Dr Oh graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons) and competed the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Dento-Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of Queensland. She received her radiology training at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. private radiology practices and at the School of Dentistry at the University of Queensland. Dayea is currently working as a private radiologist at Envision Medical Imaging, with Drs Bernard Koong and Tom Huang. She also holds academic positions at UWA and UQ where she teaches maxillofacial radiology to both DMD and DCD students
