Trauma Related Periapical Pathology: Are Cracks The Trigger?

Cracks in teeth pose a diagnostic and management challenge to the clinicians. Although no consensus exists with regard to the optimal method for crack detection, several methods are commonly used with varying degrees of accuracy. This presentation will outline key findings of a recent research conducted at UWA (School Of Dentistry) to assess accuracy of various methods in detecting cracks in teeth.

About Dr Hari RAMINENI 

BDS, MDS, DClinDent (Endo)WA, FRACDS, MRACDS(Endo)

Hari is working as an associate at a specialist Endodontic practice in Canberra. He graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and in 2009 obtained his Master’s degree in Periodontics from the Meenakshi University, Chennai (India). Hari developed an interest in the field of Endodontics while working as a general dentist in Mid-North Coast of NSW. Hari completed his specialist training under the supervision of Professor Paul Abbott at the University of Western Australia in 2016. Hari is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and also obtained his membership in the Specialist Stream of Endodontics.  Hari has a special interest in management of dental trauma and surgical endodontics. His research interests include diagnosis and management of teeth with cracks.
